Why this must be read: Sure, Teen Wolf may be the kind of show where the question isn't "which characters have chemistry" but "which characters don't have chemistry", but some sizzle just a little more than others. Cora and Lydia are two such characters.

Set sometime after S3a in a future where Derek and Cora are back in Beacon Hills, this is a little peek at What Could Be. With Stiles and Derek gone for a while, it's up to Lydia, Cora, and company to handle the monster of the week. But, like Lydia says, anything Stiles Stilinski can do, she can do better and in heels. Of course, not everything goes according to plan but it all works out in the end.

What I love about this fic is that it doesn't water Lydia or Cora down. They're still the BAMFs we know and love in canon and the way they come together feels inevitable in the best way. It's also nice to see a Lydia who's come into her powers and get a closer look at Cora and what motivates her. And, of course, any time two awesome ladies get to be sexy together, I'm there.

There isn't too much Cora/Lydia fic out there yet (as far as I can tell, though the tumblr gifsets are amazing), which is a travesty. But enjoy this little gem and then encourage fandom to give us more!

Why this must be read: This 2013 ci5_boxoftricks offering is an angst lover's dream. While Doyle decides that he wants a committed relationship with Bodie and is ready to tell the world about their love, Bodie is not anywhere near ready. Even worse, he's decided that he doesn't want Doyle at all.

This story is a sequel of the author's 2012 Big Bang story, When It All Comes Tumbling Down. It isn't necessary to read the first story because the author gives enough backstory in Out In The Cold but I say, go for broke. Read both stories and really enjoy yourself. *bg*

Why this must be read:

Because it's Peggy - after the war and still being awesome, and because it's full of little moments that give you the shivers and maybe some tears (good tears, nostalgic tears, not crushing ones). It's a simple little love story in not-so-simple surroundings, with equally simple moments that in turn are the ones that have the most profound impacts. The characters are spot-on here - their voices are right and you can see it play out in your mind. Copperbadge is one of those authors that makes you see, feel, and hear the story without hitting you over the head with it. And because it's the story of Peggy, and Gabe, and SHIELD as they are begun and as they grow.
