Fandom: CSI Pairing: Nick/Greg Author on LJ: carolinecraneAuthor website: Desiderium CaritasWhy this must be read: I just read this story today and felt the need to rec it. Caroline Crane is definitely my favourite author when it comes to Nick/Greg. This story is no exception. It's mid-length with a healthy sprinkling of confusion/angst, non-sappy romance, and, of course, hot hot sex! I really dig her style and so might you. :) This link will take you to Part 1, which will take you to Part 2, then Part 3. Lock And Key

Fandom: THE WEST WING Pairing: Joshua Lyman/Sam Seaborn Author on LJ: unknown Author Website: SubtractionsWhy this must be read: Because it's refreshing to look at Josh and Sam from another viewpoint, and when that viewpoint is Josh's mother, it becomes all the more interesting. Abigale rounds out the character of Miriam Lyman, to make her a woman who we care about in her own right, even though the main focus is on her observations of Josh and Sam. It's a story that moves at a different pace from the usual freneticism of the West Wing; it feels leisurely and gentle, a off-duty interlude in their lives. Yet it never becomes dull, and it still deftly conveys the strength of Josh and Sam's personalities. Here's a brief moment, early on in the story. Their motions were unsynchronized. Josh set down his bag just in front of Sam, who scuffed it, and had to hop-skip around. They failed twice to capture their luggage as it swept past on the conveyer belt, and Miriam wondered how they'd ever managed to figure themselves out. She knew -- had listened to Josh's confession -- he hadn't a clue. She didn't ask about Sam.
But their voices flowed together seamlessly, and within moments she knew she would have trouble telling them apart, if one hadn't been her own child. A Bluer Ocean

Fandom: Star Wars Pairing: Han Solo/Luke Skywalker Website: http://diana.slashcity.com/URL: http://www.squidge.org/swal/fic/lifewhilehope.htmWhy this must be read: This is an intriguing AU, involving a slave Luke. It follows the basic plotline of the original Star Wars movie with the added interpersonal element. Diana has a great command of Han's voice, and a pretty fair one of Luke's. She sets it up plausibly, and carries it through beautifully. The random details and use of much of the original dialogue, even with the different setting is very effective. Go and enjoy.

Fandom: Star Wars Pairing: Han Solo/Leia Organa, Han Solo/Luke Skywalker Author's Website: The Darth Side http://zpdark.tripod.com/index-2.htmlURL: http://www.elusive-lover.de Under Zines online, Elusive Lover 2 Why this Must be Read: ZP was one of the first publishers of SW erotica, and a past-mistress of the art of glorious underwriting. in this fic, Han loses his very pregnant wife, Leia to a terrorist attack, but the child is saved. And who better to help him raise a baby Jedi than the last Jedi? He takes his son to Luke for help. and gets far more than he bargained for. It was Luke, but a very different Luke. Wearing a long, black truesilk robe, sun-bleached hair falling past his shoulders, he looked agile and unearthy at the same time against the wildly colored background of those untamed flowers. He was barefoot, and, Han thought, most certainly naked under the whisper-thin layer of silk.

Fandom: HARRY POTTER Pairing: Harry/Draco Author on LJ: iscarisAuthor Website: Magical Intrigue Why this must be read: Summary - Draco learns that poison doesn't always bring death, there are other ways to suffer and live, as Draco discover the intoxication of love. And to read, the story is just as intoxicating. It's very sensual, dark, angsty and romantic, and mainly due to the beautiful prose. The story is filled with fervent looks, introspective thought, infused silences and tense moments between the protagonists that burn with electricity, and not only do you see it, but you feel it as well. It would almost be too much if Rhysenn wasn't so good at writing it. Yet, there's plot as well! A simple plot, but not too predictable and it balances the prose very well. Although the story is a novel length fic it flys by, as the pacing is good. Just as the prose might become too much, Rhysenn injects the story with a plot development, or a nail biting Quidditch match, a humorous scene featuring Seamus and Dean gossiping, or a witty barbs exchange between Hermione and Draco. I think these elements add extra depth to the story, and are great touches. Also, if adore a suffering, love lorne Draco, this is a must read for you - full of urgency, fraying around the edges, being torn apart by the warring voice of the potions - knowing his emotions are false but still *feeling* them and hungering for Harry...he suffers so beautifully *bg* I hope you read. Enjoy. Irresistible Poison
