It keeps you hooked all the way until the very end. Lindsey and Angel are hot as hell, and the other characters are all well used... Giles, Wesley and Kate most especially. All in all, this is one epic story you don't want to miss, and definitely a must-read for anybody who is a fan of the Lindsey/Angel pairing. | | |

The boys are getting ready for Christmas and their wishes seem impossible. Hutch wants a dream house and Starsky wants his leather jacket back (the one that got destroyed in the shooting). But where there's a will, there's always a way. Miracles were meant to happen. Starsky’s cobalt eyes flashed. "Don't talk like that about it. Don't talk like that about something you gave me. Not ever. No holes. No damn holes, Hutch." Starsky patted the front of the jacket for emphasis. He furiously unzipped it and unbuttoned the front of his shirt. "No holes."
Hutch’s breath caught in his throat as his partner’s chest was revealed. Dark curly hair bushed around white scar tissue. Ragged, amorphous scars from bullets, precise linear scars from surgical knives. | | |

Lucy weaves stories so well that you don't realize how far you've come until you're looking back at the end. The story's a layered case story, but the issues going on with the boys are integrated so well that you don't even consciously realize how far you've come. It's a natural progression. “A V and an a. Two Is and an M. V, an I, and an r.” Hutch frowned at the small notepad. “I just. I can’t see the pattern. It’s got to mean something, but…”
Starsky leaned back in his chair. “Kissing,” he replied after a moment.
Hutch regarded the paper for a moment. “Kiss…what?”
Starsky nodded to himself. “Kissing. Kissing is nice. You’re gonna miss kissing.”
Hutch stared at him.Starsky logic, it's a sight to see. These boys are not stiff or one-sided. They're complicated and real and true to form. And when the case hits too close to home, they're scared and determined. | | |

Fandom: Sports Night Pairing: Dan/Casey, Natalie/Jeremy Author on LJ: marzillaAuthor's Webpage: Cori Lannam's Fan FictionWhy this must be read:This story starts in a place of pain for any true Dan/Casey shipper - they guys are barely able to be in the same room together. No banter, no love, no pure joy in each other's presence. It's so bad that Dan takes an assignment to Nigeria to cover a soccer championship, swallowing his hatred of soccer for the opportunity to get some distance and hopefully repair their friendship when he returns. Natalie goes with him, and suddenly they're in over their heads. Cori delivers a story that's filled with suspense and anxiety. The characterizations of Jeremy and Dana are particularly strong, especially for a fandom that has a tendency to paint those two with broad strokes of geekiness and neuroses. I worried about Natalie and Danny, about Casey and Jeremy helpless in New York, and about how my two favorite guys were going to get themselves back on track. Lith's vids always capture the full emotional range of music and lyrics, and feature the best editing techniques and effects. Clocks delves into the tempest-tossed love affair between John Crichton and Aeryn Sun, from the hungry need that drives them together to the secrets and ill-fated choices that tear them apart. Why this vid kicks ass: Well, it made me actually like an Alice Cooper song, for one thing. More importantly, it's a great match of lyrics and images, mood and men. I'm more of a B/K optimist than most folks, I think. And I was going to rec a schmoopier video, but this one really got me. You can feel that Beecher/Keller dynamic of danger, lust, love and madness.
