Fandom: THE OC Pairing: Seth/Summer/Ryan Author on LJ: lalejandraAuthor Website: unknown Why this must be read: It’s sexy, hot, and funny. Did I mention it was sexy? Because this fic is on fire! “But what?” She wriggled her stomach against Seth’s cock. “You know what your problem is, Cohen?”
“I’m dating a sex fiend who encourages my latent homosexuality?” asked Seth, his hips surging up almost without his permission.
“No. You don’t own any lube.” Sex Ed

Fandom: THE PROFESSIONALS Pairing: Bodie/Doyle Author on LJ: Unknown Author's Website:Unknown Why this must be read The story opens with Bodie and Doyle in the middle of a fire fight, and then leads into an interrogation scene. Feels like it could come straight from the show.Characterisation is spot on. The aftermath, with Doyle being annoyed at Bodie for putting himself in the line of fire *again*is also very real. It's just the boys getting on with life. Something I've not seen that much of in Pros fandom. The sex also feels realistic.Doyle is rougher (but with Bodie's full consent) then they usually are in the relationship established in the fic, and his guilt trip and Bodie's unconcern are perfectly in character. Shorts shows all the trust and love between them without ever slipping into sap. Really enjoyable read. Lucky Charms

Fandom: SHERLOCK HOLMES Pairing: Holmes/Watson Author on LJ: unknown Author Website: unknown Why this must be read: This missing scene from “The Adventure of Charles August Milverton” starts with Holmes repeating a query from earlier that day, “You would not call me a marrying man, Watson?” But there are more questions to come... "You are aware of the medical opinion of homosexuality?"
I shrugged elaborately. "Undoubtedly it is the epitome of mental illness--caused perhaps by some childhood trauma, a dominant mother, or a natural talent for perversion?"
Watson smiled a little, as if reluctant to be amused by my airy manner. "Something of the sort. And, of course, it's quite illegal."
He caught my wry grin, and laughed slightly. "Not that breaking into a man's house isn't also quite illegal."
"Let's not forget immoral," I said, feigning an unconcern I did not feel....
Those sharp eyes met mine. "Really, Holmes, for all the times you've flouted the law, I can count the number of times you've done something immoral on my thumbs." “A Marrying Man”

Fandom: QAF US Pairing: Brian/Michael, potential Brian/Michael/Justin Author on LJ: sahariAuthor Website: Sahari's CornerWhy this must be read: Warnings first... (1) This is waaaaaay AU. Although Brian and Justin seem to be the same as the show, Michael is written differently -- a more spunky, more confident gay man, sans the whininess and the nerdiness. This why there is a different Brian/Michael dynamic as well as the mind-boggling possibility of a threesome between the three main characters, and (2) this is far from finished. But this has been in WIP status for about a year or so, without any new chapters added to this day. But it is so briliant in concept as well as writing that I didn;t want to pass up the chance to rec this. It is quirky, fun and in part, very sexy and hot. Here is an excerpt, where this particular AU lays its own spin on the trio that make up the core of Queer as Folk: ( Read more... )It's disappointing that it hasn't been finished but hey, if you get enchanted by this fic, then maybe you can beg the author to finish it. Fandom: FIREFLY Pairing: Wash/Zoe Author on LJ: dumbphilomelAuthor Website: Euphrosyne's Fic PageWhy this must be read: Philomel wrote a couple Wash/Zoe classics, and I wanted to rec "Pieces" as my favorite. It's a comfort read, the kind of story that leaves me feeling that maybe, just maybe, things will turn out all right for this crazy crew, no matter what Joss the 'verse throws at them. Set right after "War Stories," it's about Wash thinking through his relationship with Zoe, and it's sweet and charming with some nice character insights and interactions. Pieces

Fandom:BLAKES7 Pairing:Anna/Avon, Anna-Another (UST) Author on LJ: msmannaAuthor's Web site: http://www.mannazone.orgWhy this must be read:"Countdown": profound exploration of beloved character, in a way that Explains A Lot, or Huge Honkin' Retcon? For a character who appeared in only one episode (and, unlike Firefly's Saffron, was most unlikely to make a return appearance) Anna Grant has had an immense impact on fanwriting--if only by making life more difficult for doctrinaire slashers. In this very short story, Manna in effect re-directs perceptions of Anna much as "Countdown" re-channels perceptions of Avon. If I tell you that it includes the secret agent who made the mistake of falling love, and who let him go, you might be inclined to say, "Oh, yeah, THAT again"--until of course you read the story and see the perfectly logical and perfectly unexpected context. Fandom: THE OC Pairing: Seth/Ryan Author on LJ: sdluclyAuthor Website: unknown Why this must be read: This is an AU where Ryan meets Seth thru catering for all The OC’s social parties. This is such a great read that even though I usually just scan for a good line to add to a rec, this time I can’t stop reading. Must. Reread. It’s too good! Now go experience its greatness yourself. Ryan pauses and tries not to frown. First time anyone has spoken to him directly, at least tonight. "Hmm... I'm not certain. I believe in the next thirty minutes, Sir." He's used to thinking and talking like an English teacher because it's required.
The boy laughs, shaking his head. "Dude, really, Sir? What, do I actually look like my dad?" He ponders his own question for a moment, before shaking his head. "No, nope. Yeah, I'm a dashing man and all that, but no, my dad is really different from me. I got my curls from his side, though." He pauses, and Ryan wonders how many words he can say without a breath. "I'm Seth. Just, Seth." Things to Do

Picture this: It's Christmas. Lex and Clark are playing Monopoly. Clark wants to buy Boardwalk, but Lex won't sell it to him. As Lex thinks: Every action he's ever made has been subjected to careful planning and maneuvering. Lessons in where the greats have failed. Why he shall succeed when others have not.

Fandom: Oz Pairing: Beecher/Keller Author on lj: Maverick's ljAuthor website: Maverick ficWhy this must be read:Because Mav does an amazing job of capturing Keller's voice. This is canon Keller, and -- as he might say -- it ain't always pretty, but that's part of what makes this stand out. It's Keller captured in shades of grey as he reflects on who he is and how he got there, and where Tobias Beecher fits into the picture. As in this passage: Cause there had never been a more ready job, a more compliant dupe. You shrouded yourself in craziness, but I could smell the need coming off you, more potent than your Daddy's cologne. You couldn't hide your unwavering want for welcomed contact. You may have batted my hand away, but it don't mean your dick didn't twitch in response. You took the bait like some hungry fish. I had you where I wanted you, and it was almost too easy. But I forgot, if something appears easy, more than likely it ain't. And you took the bait, but I'm the one that got snared. It's a short fic, but so loaded with more lines like these that you come away satified -- although hungering for just a little bit more, just like Chris. Fandom: POPSLASH Pairing: JC/Chris Author on LJ: flambeauAuthor Website: http://www.strangeplaces.net/torch/boybandstories.htmlWhy you MUST read this story: This story contains a lot of my favorite things about popslash. The pairing itself is well-drawn and there's just enough anticipation to keep you going, but more than anything it's about the dynamic between these people. The friendships, whether the kind that are turning into something more or just the kind that are all about comfort and humor, are rich and realistic. She captures what I see (or think I see anyway) when I watch JC, Chris and Justin interact on film and stage and creates a world and a story around that. Plus, she manages to subtly work in some of the more interesting aspects of BEING FAMOUS and being a working international pop sensation and all that. Most importantly, very funny. Love that. Fandom: THE SENTINEL Pairing: Jim/Blair Author on LJ: n/a Author Website: n/a Why this must be read: This is a great fic. I love how Legion makes the Sentinel part of Jim so different and so awesome. The author gives this synopsis A natural disaster hits Cascade, bringing out the pure Sentinel in Jim - much to Blair's initial dismay. I highly reccommend this story. It's an amazing read and will leave you breathless. Unsung by Legion
