YO HO H-- uh, yeah, right. I can no more pull that off than I can "word". Ah well, no matter, I'm
myriad69 and I'll be reccing Pirates of the Caribbean fic this month. I'm sorry I'm starting off a bit late, but so many of my absolute favourites in this fandom have already been recced, so I've been reading like crazy the past few days.
But I'm going to throw two at you to start off, both a series of drabbles; well, drabble-ish. (I say "drabble-ish" because they're not all 100 words each.)
Fandom: PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
Pairing: none, really. Shades of Jack/Norrington in Circe's.
Authors on LJ:
bear &
circe_tiganaAuthor websites: The Ham Sandwich for Bear, and Circe is still working on hers.
Why this must be read:The titles, which didn't fit in the subject line, are "The Devil You Don't (five drabbles that never happened to Jack Sparrow)" by
bear and "sometimes i long to be landlocked and to work in a bakery" by
circe_tigana.
Since these pieces are things that "never" happened to Jack Sparrow, we could logically call them AUs. And each one is set so perfectly in the Pirates universe that either heartlifting or heartbreaking, we can easily believe that if Fate had so decided, Jack Sparrow would have lived, or died, in the various ways described by Bear and Circe.
Because these are so short, I won't try and describe them, instead I encourage you to go and read.
