03:50 pm As I Walk Through This World by Luna and Jess (G)
Fandom: SPORTS NIGHT
Pairing: Nothing serious nor slash. Gen ensemble.
Authors on LJ: Luna: [livejournal.com profile] tangleofthorns; Jess: [livejournal.com profile] circusgirl.
Author Website: Luna: http://www.sparkgirls.com; Jess: http://obsessivetendencies.net/gypsy.
Why this must be read:

What? This isn't an episode in prose form? I find it hard to believe. Except that, as is the case with a very few gen stories, it's almost better than an episode (I blaspheme and do not repent!).

The partnership of Luna and Jess (aka Violet and Cinnamon) was a veritable fruitful multiplication of great fiction. This story is a piquant blend of two very distinct voices and you can hardly tell.

Mostly, though? The dialogue is so close to perfect it's like a very nearly perfect thing. There are a couple of places in the beginning where Natalie sounds like Dana, but then you remember that Natalie generally only teased with crazy, and Dana actually was crazy. Then it all makes sense. As much as free range skyscraper chickens and another (kinda) Dating Plan by Dana can make sense.

Hee! Ahem.

As I Walk Through This World. You'll be sorry if you don't.

ps: Feedback. I'm telling you, you won't regret it.
