An A/U set after REV 6:8, Laura takes the Duncan MacLeod we know, shakes him up (Cassandra helps a bit) and gives him back to us in a new, darker form. Now, this doesn't mean Duncan is OOC, but he isn't the vanilla Duncan you usually see in most Duncan/Methos stories. In Laura Mason's Voice, he likes things a bit rougher and so does Methos. If you like kink, you will like this story. If that's not your cup of tea, you know the drill. Please heed the warnings about this story on the author's page. Logan is another author who can just dig into the characters and make them seem real. It starts off with all of the pilots right after the war and stretches out from there into the years that follow. The primary focus is Heero and Duo's relationship. And, more importantly, their relationship isn't perfect. They get in fights. Both of them have their faults, and they're really just the kind of things you'd expect from these characters. However, you never doubt that these two are in love. A fair warning: this story gets angsty. I cried. There's a very good chance that you'll cry. You may need tissues. Resonant is a multi-talented writer (Harry Potter and Due South being just two of the other fandoms she's written. In this story, she treats us to a fairly short, but VERY hot tale in which Rodney has some eyesight problems, Sheppard prays to be deaf, and scary bad no good visions scare Rodney right into Sheppard's arms. "Sure looks real," McKay muttered. "I -- what if that stuff's alive, and it's eaten through my optic nerve and is attacking my brain? What if --" John scooted closer and put his hand on McKay's arm. McKay caught his hand in an uncomfortably tight grip. "OK, that's the real you, right? That's not some kind of tactile hallucination?"
"There's another me in your hallucination? I'm not chopping up any part of you, am I?"
