Fandom: DUE SOUTH
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski

mondschein1Author Website: LJ Memories Why this must be read: During their post-CotW adventure, Fraser and Ray try some Inuit throat singing, the mechanics of which bring them a bit too close for Fraser's comfort. Fraser can't handle it. His reaction
– his behavior
– is priceless. Pitch-perfect and beautifully written.
"I," Fraser says, and stops moving altogether. "I." He turns himself around so that he's facing Ray, and kinda – inflates, like he's getting ready for Ray to punch him. "I," he adds, real sincere. Giulietta is excellent at evoking
Due South's quirkiness. Her Ray and Fraser voices are spot-on, and she has such a great way with words.
This lovely story is one in an ongoing series called
Ten Years Onward, but it's really a stand-alone first-time story, sort of a prequel to the series. I recommend the entire WiP series, but you don't have to have read any of them to enjoy this story.
