09:25 am Touch by Gehayi (NC-17)
Fandom: HARRY POTTER
Pairing: Peter/Lucius
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] gehayi
Author Website: Author's page on Skyhawke
Why this must be read:

Gehayi comes back to the problem of Peter over and over again in her fiction, exploring him from different angles. After all, Peter was a trusted friend of the other Marauders all through school and into their adult lives. Was he always a bad seed? Or did... something... happen?

With neither sun nor moon nor clock to mark the passage of time, he grew disoriented very quickly. Terms like 'day' and 'night' became nonsensical terms. Mentally, he replaced them with 'pain' and 'the times when they leave me alone for awhile.' )

10:18 am Presence and Absence by Petra (NC-17)
Fandom: DC COMICS
Pairing: Cass/Tim; Cass/Steph, Steph/Tim
Author on LJ:[livejournal.com profile] petronelle
Author Website: Dignity, Always Dignity
Why this must be read: This is a story about, and a balm for, grief. I should tell you more about it, but that's the truest thing I can say about a very true story; any other statement feels superfluous.

Excerpt: Cass tugs off her cowl and sits on the edge of his bed. "Steph."

Tim sits up a little straighter, yearning, hoping, and then resigning himself again with a movement that no one but Batman would ever call a slouch. "I miss her, too," he says, with every inch of his body, and much more quietly aloud.

07:50 pm Piatto Dolce by Likeadeuce (PG)
Fandom: ANGEL
Pairing: Wesley/Virginia Bryce
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] likeadeuce
Author Website: None.
Why this must be read: [livejournal.com profile] likeadeuce has been recced on [livejournal.com profile] crack_van a few times before and for good reason; her stories are always sharp, intelligent, sexy and true to the characters.

On the surface, the story is about a booty call; Wes calls Virginia because (in the author's words): "I'm working late and I'm bored and there are a lot of rooms in this hotel." but it's really more an intense and unblinking look at Wesley and his relationships and the strings that make him tap and dance. As with any of Deuce's stuff, it's well worth the read. Check it out and give the author some love.
