Why this must be read:

Mulder and Scully from a third person POV is one of my guilty pleasures. Well, perhaps not, as I don't feel the least bit guilty about it. Flynn has a lovely way with her OC's voice, providing a mostly happily-ever-after future that departs from canon some time after DeadAlive. It's the ultimate in schmoopy, feel-good, rainy-day fic.

You've probably heard the expression bandied about, but I've seen it happen with those two more times than I can remember - he was devouring her face with his eyes. That's the key, I realized, and not for the first time: they adore each other. They exist as separate individuals, and they function perfectly well on their own; but they aren't truly complete until they're together. Jesus, what must it have been like for her, watching him accumulate all those scars.

Why this must be read:

The thing about House and Wilson's relationship is that it's a dance. They're constantly pushing and pulling, going too far and scrambling to backtrack.

There was still the occasional morning when he would find a wrapped sandwich lying conspicuously on the top middle shelf of the fridge, usually adorned with a post-it note that read something along the lines of 'Mine, don't touch'. This message was meant to be ignored, however, since the only person he knew who would put post-its on their lunch was Wilson, and if Wilson was leaving a sandwich in his fridge, it was because he meant for him to eat it. The understanding between them had long since deepened to include the presence of unsolicited sandwiches as a subtle, non-committal way of expressing concern. The message on the post-it could probably even have been understood to really be saying 'I'm here - I'm thinking about you,' by the sort of person who read into that sort of thing. Which House absolutely was not.

Why this must be read:

I’m fairly sure you’re all going to think I was lying when I said I prefer Ezra/Chris as a pairing, but never let it be said I can’t enjoy a good slash fic. You may also notice the pattern of always being corrupted by Cobalt. I tried for a while to convince a friend of mine that Mag7 was a good fandom to get into, and that once in it was rather addictive. So I sent her a few fics to try, gave her Cobalt's URL and her response was that this is one of the hottest fics ever. I think she might have a thing for voyeurism ;).

To continue the AU theme, this is one fic in a modern universe where the seven are guns for hire.

Why this must be read: Oh, I could post a book on this story. Why should it be read? Well, one of the best things about the King Arthur fandom is you can take the notion of the AU type of story and go all kinds of crazy with it. guede_mazaka does one of the best versions of this - and I'll rec her AU later.

Resurrection is a stand alone that spawned an entire verse. I gleefully take credit and/or damnation for "influencing" Amari into writing more. As I mentioned before in Amari's other rec, she does one of the best Lancelot voices I've ever read. He's calculating, angry, controlled and explosive, sweet, young and stupid and adorable and full of issues and he loves/loved Arthur with all the violence their turbulent relationship deserves.

Her Arthur I don't necessarily agree with as much as I do her L (and that's mostly due to me being too much like Arthur and writing him as my primary character in my own stuff), but he's still so ridiculously Arthur (God love the poor sod) that I can't help but worship him too.

In this standalone Amari shows us a look behind the thought What if Arthur was the once and future king - but nobody told Lancelot?

I cannot rec this piece/series enough. Amari does twisty shifting plots and characters like almost no one in this fandom or any other for that matter that I've ever had the horrible pleasure to read.

Take some time and enjoy the story that spawned teh crack known as Resurrection.

Why this must be read:
I don't usually read Josh/Donna, but Michelle sucked me in with this fic. The style is sparse but beautiful, and it raises new questions about Josh and Donna both as a couple and as separate people. A must read if you like Josh/Donna!
