I found this fic to be very unique and well-written, and it warmed the cockles of my English major heart. If we had been reading this in class, I would have certainly paid more attention lol. D'Alaire certainly put a lot of effort into this: she's got the rhyme scheme and phrasing down perfectly, and I think she even has the meter down as well. Wow. This author's style is tender and amusing, with excellent wordplay and a terrific grasp of characters. If I were allowed more than one rec per post, I might also rec Stakes. This author has just become a must read for me and revitalized my love for Felix Gaeta and fondness for the hapless HotDog. It was much better being just Hot Dog where what you saw was what you got. And he could fly again now - he loved flying.
