Why this story must be read:

Because it hits my priest kink like none other. Because I have a serious addiction to AUs. Because as a recovering Catholic I can voutch that she has her stuff down. Because it is seriously HOT. And because it is so much more than just a PWP. I think that this might be part of a larger work that she is currently working on, but it stands fine on its own. I know that everyone probably read this during [livejournal.com profile] getfraserlaid, but I think that this story is one that can't be read too frequently!

Why this must be read:

Because although there's a Cameron focus, it does hit all the teamy buttons and all their voices. Because SG1 takes the oddest of things in their stride. And even so it's a little much that the fic starts as Cameron Mitchell steps out of a tree naked, slightly green and oh, a plant.

And from that you would expect a little wacky story, and it is, but as the fic winds through the characters' responses there's an underlying connectedness, history and harmony as Cameron reaches for the sunlight.

Why this must be read:

In honor of Friday the 13th, here's a fabulous piece of future fic with a creepy, dark twist. Some many years down the road, Elizabeth runs into Captain Jack Sparrow walking down the street in Tortuga. On the surface it's a chance meeting between old friends, but there's an edge to their interaction, a tension borne of a shared past, and past betrayals. I hesitate to say too much about this story, it really is the kind of story best gone into cold. Suffice to say it's as clever and twisty and ultimately unpredictable as Jack and Elizabeth themselves.

11:04 pm The Grating by Archer's Aim PG13
Fandom: Hornblower
Pairing: None
Author on LJ: No
Author Website: N/A
Why this must be read:
This is a fic for everyone who's ever debated the "Who Pushed Sawyer?" question. It raises an even MORE important question: "Who left the grating open?" I'll not spoil the story by naming the character the author chose for this purpose but it offers a lovely perspetive nonetheless and is a great look into his mind.
