Why this must be read:

A couple of months ago, I co-sponsored the multi-fandom "Less is More" challenge, with the idea being to write the hottest fic possible without any actual sexing. There were some fantastic responses (find the masterlist here), and this was one of my favorites. I'm a big sucker for pre-series Kowalski and Stella, and this is exactly how I imagine them—young and scorching hot and playful and enthralled with each other and just a little bit fucked up. The story is short, but it packs a lot of punch.

Why this must be read:

This is a fic about junk food and all of the good things it can do for a person. Seriously. All of the dieters in the world are missing the point of how much good can come from a twinkie. While the fic may be about junk, the writing and story are far from it. Twinkie Run (The Stars and Garters Remix) is more like wholesome comfort food, with side portions of wit and subtle finesse.

I love this story. Primarily because it has Hank and Bobby and I love Hank and Bobby (especially when they are as well written and believable and in depth as they are in this fic). It helps that the plot of this story is engaging and interesting and all of the characters have the depth and emotion that I have come to realize is par for the course in likeadeuce's work.

Hank comes to Xavier's to teach after the end of X-2, along with fellow mutant, Emma Frost. Things are, understandably, in chaos and this is his attempt to provide all of the students an outlet and a friendly ear. Also, we see the beginnings of healing for all of the X-men affected by the tragedies of X-2.

And junk food. How can you not want a fic with junk food?

Author's Summary: Junk food is banned from Xavier's School for the Gifted. Hank McCoy, a new member of the faculty, decides to bend the rules for the sake of his students. Meanwhile, fellow new teacher Emma Frost creates her own set of problems for Scott Summers.

Why this must be read: This story is pure love. It's warm and friendly and sexy. It's touching and funny. It's about three Immortals having a very good day, just hanging out, picnicking on Duncan's huge bed, watching old movies and having sex.
