Fandom: WEST WING Pairing: Josh/Sam Author on LJ: cesperanzaAuthor Website: http://www.trickster.org/speranza/Why this must be read:This is an idea from canon that many, many people have followed up on in some way or other: that Sam's not going to stop at running for Congress is pretty well established. So, please listen when I tell you that this is the best fic I've seen on the subject. It's short, but brilliant, and cuts to the quick in that weird painful-cute way that Sorkin himself often does. It's one of those stories where you read it and then you sort of have to sit down for a minute because the world just got a little bit larger, because this story's in it and it did happen like this. It is, in short, lovely, and I wish the author had written a whole lot more in this fandom. She's got one other fic, and that's lovely too, but this one... this one puts magic into something common, and if that isn't worth reccing, then I don't know what is. Seaborn for America

Fandom: FARSCAPE Title: Hidden in Plain Sight Pairing: None, really Author on LJ: Unknown Author's Webpage Unknown Why this must be read: This story is one of my favorite secret kinks. Not going to tell that kink because it gives away the story but, needless to say, I re read this every so often because it's one of the few out there. That said, this is another post Fractures story, slow in it's action, but HUGELY suspenseful. It's John and Chiana at the end of their ropes, trying to figure out what's going on, whose close to him, and when they will strike. The show did not go this route, which is probably a good thing because it would've killed the fans. This fic did take this route and it was exciting and jaw dropping and I always wished for a sequel because I wanted to know what happened afterward. Read this one and get ready for that kick of an ending. Hidden In Plain Sight

Fandom: X-MEN MOVIEVERSE Pairing: Erik Lensherr (Magneto)/Charles Xavier Author on LJ: c_elisaAuthor Website: Intimate StructureWhy this must be read: This must be read because when the "Five Things that didn't happen" is done so well, it's always incredible. More than that this is Charles and Erik. Fighting, loving, and breaking apart, but still so beautiful. ( Quoting ) WMD

b>Fandom: POPSLASH Pairing: Lance/Justin, JC/Chris Author on LJ: visionshadowsAuthor Website: Late NightWhy this must be read:This rec almost seems redundant. I say almost because I quite surprised not to see this in the popslash rec memories, and so I couldn't not rec this. This is one of the older popslash stories and so I'm expecting many a person has read it. But still. Anyways, this is another AU, and a high school one at that. I'm a big fan of this story in particular because it was the fic that solidified my love for Justin/Lance pairing. The story is plot full with lots of love and lots of angst, and most importantly, is EPIC LONG... what more could you need? I suggest saving this for a rainy day or when you have a big block of time free... it's that long. Human Behavior

I apologize for being a day late with this crossover rec – I was away yesterday. I hope it’s better late than never! Title:The Chicago Stories by WPAdmirer Pairing: Walter Skinner / John Carter Author on LJ: unknown Author Website: The Chicago StoriesWhy thismust be read:There’s a sad lack of good ER slash online, though there are a few notable exceptions (such as Rocket Launcher, starring of all pairings Robert Romano and Dave Malucci!). The Chicago stories take John Carter, a very slashable character, and pair him with Walter Skinner of the X-Files. The pairing may seem improbable, but it works – this is a younger Carter, from just a few years into ER, and his naïve enthusiasm works well to counter Skinner’s tired worldliness. The series focuses mostly on the building relationship, with just enough adventure and intrigue to balance things out. It’s light and enjoyable, and definitely worth reading!
