I like stories where the other Major Crime guys show that they are detectives by having worked out that Jim has an edge, and then work to let him use that edge. D L Witherspoon always tells a good, well-developed story, and this one - which she says was her first TS story - is no exception.

Why this must be read:  sheafrotherdon's marvelous Farm in Iowa universe has been rightly rec'ced here before and it has inspired a lot of terrific stories, podfic and artwork. This one is my absolute favorite but it doesn't require any knowledge of the Iowa 'verse to be enjoyed. The story opens on our Atlantis not long after a Quantum Mirror has been discovered. This one doesn't allow travel between universes, but it does fix on the person holding the controller allowing them to follow their counterpart. John finds himself annoyed at Rodney who finds his alternate self's life fascinating and because John is never one to actually talk about his feelings it all comes boiling to a head.

I love AU stories, especially those that take us along on a journey of self-discovery and self-realization. This story has it all - warmth, heart, humor, longing and love. It's guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face.

Is pretty much perfectly that. Everyone thinks Steve and Darcy are dating because they're besties, and Tony and Clint are jealous. It's ridiculously cute. Enjoy!

Shihadchick's excellent story sits neatly in the a common trope for this pairing: that of young men indulging in risky behaviour.

Why this must be read: This story was written for me by S Powell.
I love this story. It's full of hurt/comfort and angst and sex and love, so what else would you want in a SH story. Hutch is ready to begin a new kind of relationship with Starsky and Starsky is ready to marry a woman, this is where the Hutch angst begins.

Shelia’s a nice girl, and I did my best to smile and act happy for them. God knows it ought to be enough for me to have Starsky back after Gunther’s hit, but it still hurts knowing that what I thought we were headed for was just in my crazy head. Lying in this bed with a concussion, cracked ribs, a broken arm, and a broken leg has given me a lot of time to think, and I’ve decided what I’m going to do.

“Why in the hell did you get up and run off for, anyway? Do you remember?” Starsky’s looking at me so openly and with such affection. The man wears his heart on his sleeve. God, I love him so much. It’s no use. I can’t go back.

Why this must be read: These short little scenes can be read alone as their own stories or together as one and either way I think they are delightful. There is a sweetness to Sandy pining after what she thinks she cannot have and her coworker's fierce protectiveness is funny in the end. Our boys are dashing and bantering as they always are and I find this little trio fun. I hope you will as well.
